Copper naturally oxidises and develops a patina with use. This is a normal characteristic of the material and can be left to develop naturally or periodically polished to restore its shine.

Hand wash only using warm water and a mild detergent. For deeper cleaning, lemon and salt can be used to gently refresh the copper. Avoid abrasive cleaners and dishwashers.

Copper vessels have a long history of traditional use, including within Ayurvedic practices where water has traditionally been stored in copper vessels before drinking.
